CASE STUDY: COMMERCIAL INSTALLATION IN NW10
Brief: to supply and install photovoltaic solar electricity system to allow the company to generate and use its own electricity.
- Site survey is carried out on property to determine the size of the system required. This is dependent not only upon the roof space available, but also on the customer’s budget.
- After survey, we then design the appropriate system. In this case it was decided that 28 250 watt panels on 7kw system would provide the optimum output for the space available. This was within the customer’s budget.
- Our quotation includes the expected feed-in tariff revenue and the estimated return on the investment, in addition to the cost of installing the equipment. This helps to give the customer a realistic expectation on their investment and outlay.
- Once the customer has accepted our quotation, a deposit of 25% is required. The installation is then co-ordinated, and in this instance, took place over a period of 3 days.
- Once complete, the installation is then registered with both the MCS and the relevant utility company. The customer can now enjoy generating and using their own renewable energy and the benefits of the government’s feed-in tariff.
