Established in 2008 to capture the developing UK solar market, Harp Eco Solar has the benefit of over 22 years’ experience from our sister company Harp Windows behind us. With a steadily increasing emphasis on the energy performance capabilities of our window and conservatory installations, it seemed a natural progression for us to utilise our industry experience and build upon the solar installation side of the business.

We are a fully MCS accredited installer of solar panel electricity systems, also known as solar photovoltaics (or PV for short). PV systems capture the sun's energy using photovoltaic cells;the cells then convert the sunlight into electricity, which can be used to run household appliances and lighting. The photovoltaic cells can even generate energy when the weather is overcast, as they absorb scattered light.

In addition to photovoltaics, we are also an Eco Solar Equipment approved installer and can offer our customers the benefit of solar electricity hot water systems.

How can solar panel electricity benefit you?

Solar panel electricity can cut your electricity bills
Sunlight is free so once you've paid for the initial installation your electricity costs will be reduced.

You get paid for the electricity you generate
The government’s Feed-In Tariffs pay you for the electricity you generate, even if you use it.
You can sell electricity back to the grid
If your system is producing more electricity than you need, or when you can't use it, you can sell the surplus back to the grid.
You can cut your carbon footprint
Solar electricity is a green, renewable energy and doesn't release any harmful carbon dioxide (CO2) or other pollutants. A typical home solar PV system could save over a tonne of CO2 per year - that's more than 30 tonnes over its lifetime.

If your system is eligible for the Feed-In Tariff scheme, it could generate savings and income of nearly £1200 per year. You will receive payment for both the electricity you generate and use, and what you don't use and export to the grid.
